Podlings is a Brisbane-based Star Wars podcast co-hosted by an Aussie and an American, diving deep into the design side of the galaxy, from fonts and film sets to droids and posters. They needed cover art and a brand identity that clearly nodded to Star Wars without copying it.

We leaned into the 1977-style bold yellow and starry backdrop, but steered clear of franchise fonts by creating a custom, hand-drawn wordmark that felt fun, loose, and unmistakably fan-made. To support the brand, we also developed a custom display font, Podlings Sans, to use across social content and overlays. The result is cheeky, charming, and instantly recognizable to anyone fluent in Star Wars references.
